We just returned from PR on 3/31/2011. We took our 3yo and 7yo on the 1 hr ride. We got there early on a Monday morning and were lucky to have the 1 hr tour with just the four of us and the guide. After the ride, we ate lunch at the restaurant on property - which was very good. The girls were begging to go again, so we signed up for another 1 hr ride. This time, we were in a group with about 10 other people. Not nearly as much fun so I'd recommend going early before the crowds and hopefully you can get in a smaller group. During the first ride, we were able to trot alot more, which the girls just loved.

No, there are no steps or platforms that you can use to help get off/on your horse. But the guide is right there to help you get off/on the horse every time you have to mount/dismount.

Great article. thanks for the information. i am thinking of doing this tour and had one more question. when you stop for the break and to get off the horses, do they have steps to help you on and off the horse, or do you just jump off and climb back on? thanks so much!
