Toro Negro is my favorite camping spot in PR, I go every year and the whole family enjoys it. I wish the permit thing was easier, but it's PR and to make it easier would make it an inauthentic experience! An FYI on the water being off in the showers, they keep it off to prevent waste from leaks. The valve is on the ground outside the shower closest to the campsites, and it's appreciated if it's turned off when not in use. And thanks so much for the fixed map! We gave up on theirs the second time we camped and found out the hard way about the non existing trails. I'm printing it out for my trip up there, next month.
