Calendar of Events

This calendar contains a sampling of events scheduled across the island. All are open to the public. Most require no reservations. Many are free. You can plan on attending at least one of these events during your visit to Puerto Rico so that you can get a sampling of the culture. You will likely find local food and music at almost all of these events. And where there’s music, there’s bound to be singing and dancing!

We’ve also included a list of holidays observed here in Puerto Rico. On some holidays (Good Friday comes to mind), the island virtually shuts down. If you’re planning on taking a tour or visiting an attraction on one of these holidays, we suggest that you call ahead just to make sure they’re going to be open.

Chambers of Terror
Event open to the public! Enjoy a really haunted night in The Chambers of Terror. This is the best horror maze entertainment in Puerto Rico and this year is back with terrifying scares! Every Friday and Saturday of October from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Fort Buchanan Community club. Entrance fee: $10 (one-time through maze), or $18 (unlimited times for one day until or before attraction closes).

Puerto Rico Cocktail Week 2019

The International Puerto Rico Tattoo Convention is an event that reunites many of the world’s best tattooers from every style focused on the passionate side of tattooing. 5K de ESCAPE - Por la Niñez
Enjoy Christmas music along the route of this 5K, where you can run or walk with your family, friends or colleagues. All proceeds will benefit ESCAPE and its services for the prevention of child abuse. The "asopao" can not be missed after this Christmas 5K, so participants will enjoy a tasty "asopao" on arrival, in addition to raffle gifts and surprises. There will be a cash prize ($100) for the first male and female (overall).

Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián (San Sebastian Festival)

Life Inside the Fortification
A Living History demonstration — A soldier's life inside the fortifications of San Juan during the 18th century included practice, drills, work, and recreation.
