Reopening of Puerto Rico for External Tourism

Puerto Rico will reopen for external tourism beginning on 15 July. ★ Curfew is from 10pm until 5am (through 22 July) ★ Masks covering mouth and nose, as well as social distancing, are required in public ★ All travelers arring through the SJU airport must demonstrate a negative molecular COVID-19 test from the 72 hours prior, otherwise mandatory 14-day quarantine is required (until you can obtain a a negative molecular COVID-19 test from a local lab) ★ Most businesses (restaurants, stores, malls, gyms, etc.) are open, with capacity limits, some limited hours, & social distancing restrictions ★ El Yunque National Forest is open, but reservations are required for entry (available at Recreation.gov)★ Beaches are open with required social distancing. ★ Tours and excursions are permitted to resume (with limits) on 15 July ★ Refer to the Tourism Department Travel Advisory for more info.
