📍 A turn toward the north-northwest is forecast later today, followed by a faster motion toward the north on Thursday and Friday. On the forecast track, the center of Philippe will continue to move away from Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands today.
⛈ī¸ Puerto Rico is experiencing rain that is trailing to the south of Philippe. Rainfall associated with Philippe may bring 2 to 4 inches of rain to portions of Puerto Rico through Thursday. This rainfall could result in scattered flash flooding.
🌊 Swells generated by Philippe will affect portions of the Atlantic coast of Puerto Rico for another couple days. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
