How This Site Makes Money
We earn money in three ways:
- Advertising. We sell banner and button ads directly to businesses, and we run ads for our own related site, triprivo.com. Advertising may also include ads from a third-party ad network. Ads on this site are identified as advertising.
- Tour booking commissions. The tour listings, search results and Book Now buttons on this site link to the tour operators' own booking pages on FareHarbor. When you book through one of those links, we may earn a commission. Which tours appear in our listings, and in what order, isn't affected by commissions.
- Hosted experiences. Occasionally a tour operator invites us on an excursion free of charge. When a post is about an experience we received free, the post says so.
What Money Doesn't Buy
We don't accept payment for reviews, sponsored posts or paid placement in our articles. Advertisers and tour operators don't see or approve what we write before it's published, and a commission or a free tour never decides whether, or how, we write about something. Our opinions are our own, shaped by our own experience.
When we recommend a place, a business or a tour, it's because we think it's worth your time. Prices, schedules and details change, so please confirm anything important with the business itself before you go.
