VIP Rainforest experience into the Ancestral Soul of Puerto Rico! We access this sacred land via a private property (farm) which belongs to us (Atabey Tours). From here we have a 15 minute hike through the forest to reach the river. This is a super off the beaten path local area (no tourists). This adventure requires hiking on uneven terrain. Once on the river, we do some wild river trekking (waist deep) and enjoy some beautiful swimming holes and an optional Mud Bath along with spectacular views of the mountains and even the ocean. We even have a natural water slide more up river for those true explorers. All this on the way to our stunning 40 foot waterfall where we can play and cliff jump into the river at all levels from easy to more challenging.

You will be amazed by our tours in rivers, ravines and forests of Yunque, as well as on different beaches in the northern area of Puerto Rico. During our tour we will be walking through ground that is not paved, has roots, rocks and mud. The paths are steep and must be climbed and descended for certain activities. We climb rocks so it will get dirty and wet, but you will have the best authentic experience in the Yunque rainforest. We will talk about El Yunque, its flora and fauna while we walk through bamboos, listen to native and endemic birds. We will always be ensuring your safety. The walk could last around 45 minutes, everything will depend on the skills of the group, until we reach the part of the Fajardo River called Charco Frio where we can do activities such as: rope throwing, jumping and natural waterfalls.

In this area you will explore through the mud trails and lush green of the rainforest. The hike will take approximately 1.5 miles in total and will take approximately twenty minutes to reach the first bathing area and another ten minutes hiking on rocks to get to the water slide. We will arrive at the top of a cave and do a 250 ft long zipline that will take your breath away with the view. When we are all set we will hike upstream to a huge cave and then jump into the refreshing water. We will enter the caves and see some amazing water curtains and springs. At the exit of the second cave we do a small stop and you will have the option of submerging into the water to visit a secret cave. Then the guides will show you the best options for white water tubing. While you are white water tubing you will pass some rapids and also some amazing canons all the way until you get to the third and last cave.
